Smoked and gray are the same. Different manufactures just us different terminology. Smoked and gray are by far the most popular choice. While beautiful when the fire is burning, it also helps to hide unsightly dirty fireplaces when not in use. Bronze glass has a bronze tone added to it and looks great with polished brass and antique doors. Clear glass must be cleaned much more often.
The Hearth Craft doors come in a variety of colors including Antique Brass, Polished brass, Satin Nickel, Flat Black and Flat Black with Polished Brass trim. The Heart Craft Ultraview is also available in Vintage Iron and Antique Bronze.
Yes, it comes standard with black handles and knobs. Optional polished brass handles and knobs are available.
Yes, the insulation on the back of the door is made of a special fire proof fiberglass that will not catch fire.
When used with a wood burning fireplace you can burn with the doors open or closed. There are draft slides at both top and bottom of the glass door. When fireplace door is installed on a gas fireplace, the doors must remain open when in use.
