What caught my eye about your door was that it has dual draft slides. We have had the same fireplace door on our fireplace for years and have always had a problem with smoke entering the room. I knew after the first fire we had, upgrading to your door had solved our smoke issue. Allowing more air from the top of the door corrected the problem.
